Unbalanced bounce and the choice to cut down on grass for the Pakistan-India game

Tomorrow, or Sunday, in New York, is the high-stakes encounter between Pakistan and India in the ongoing ICCT20 World Cup in America and the West Indies.

Tomorrow, or Sunday, in New York, is the high-stakes encounter between Pakistan and India in the ongoing ICCT20 World Cup in America and the West Indies.

The decision to trim the grass on the surface at Nassau County Stadium in New York in order to lessen the uneven bounce has emerged as significant news surrounding this major championship.

The tournament's organizers released a statement to the Indian Express newspaper stating, "The T20 Organizing Committee and the ICC believe that the performance on the pitch of the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium has not been as consistent as we all wanted."
The statement went on to say that following the match of the previous day, the group of elite groundskeepers is striving to make the field better and is dedicated to offering the greatest surface for the remaining matches.

The message went on to explain that because of the rollers being ran on the field and the grass being chopped down, hitters at Nassau County Stadium were seeing uneven bounce.

The ball will land on a smooth surface when the roller is driven onto the pitch, providing a well-balanced bounce.
It should be mentioned that the three T20 World Cup games that have already taken place in New York have all resulted in low scores.
In the opening game held here on June 3, South Africa bowled out the whole Sri Lankan team for 77 runs.

The Irish squad was then bowled out for just 96 runs in the June 5 encounter between India and Ireland.
Ireland was only able to collect 125 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the final 20 overs of the Saturday encounter after Canada had amassed 137 runs against them in the allowed 20 overs.
Serious concerns have also been raised by cricket enthusiasts and specialists over the Nassau County International Stadium's unconventional pitch.
