Australia, batting first in the group of the big event being played in Barbados, scored 164 runs for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Glenn Maxwell 0 and captain Mitchell Marsh 14 were out, while David Warner was out for 56.
Mehran Khan grabbed two wickets for Oman, while Bilal Khan and Kaleemullah each claimed one wicket.
Marcus Stoins took three wickets for Australia, Mitchell Starc took two, and Adam Zampa claimed one wicket each.
However, following two straight losses, Oman is ranked last in Group B on the points table.
