North Sound Antigua: South Africa advanced to the semi-finals of the ICCT20 World Cup by defeating the West Indies by a margin of three wickets in the Super Eight stage.
After winning the toss, South Africa asked the West Indies to bat first. Batting first, the West Indies, the event's host team, scored 135 runs in the allocated 20 overs at a cost of 8 wickets.
Rain stopped play after two players had returned to the pavilion for 15 runs when South Africa began batting to chase the objective. When play resumed, South Africa had to reach the target of 123 runs in 17 overs.
Ruston Chase, a West Indian spinner, claimed three wickets in three overs for 12 runs.
