Owing to excessive rain, the Pakistani-Canadian match that was scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM Pakistani time today will now take place on Monday at 7:30 AM Pakistani time.
Pakistan and Malaysia had previously knotted the game with four goals apiece.

This was Pakistan's first match in the competition.

Goals by Abdul Rehman, Sufyan Khan, Hanan Shahid, and Abu Bakr Mehmood gave Pakistan the lead in this Gunzizno encounter.
There are nine teams participating in this tournament, split into two groups.

Group B consists of Pakistan, France, Malaysia, and Canada, while Group A comprises the hosts, Poland, South Korea, Austria, New Zealand, and South Africa.
It should be mentioned that on June 5, the Pakistani team will meet France in its final game of the competition.

It should be mentioned that the Pakistani hockey team did well at the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup held in Malaysia a while back. However, despite putting on a strong show against Japan in the final, they lost on penalty shots.

Since the Pakistani squad hadn't played in the Azlan Shah Hockey Cup final in thirteen years, their arrival was viewed as a positive development.

The fact that the winning team of the current Nations Cup in Poland will have the opportunity to compete in the FIH Hockey Pro League season 2024–25 makes it extremely significant.
