Pakistan will now be eliminated from the T20 World Cup after the umpires declared that the rain-affected match between the USA and Ireland would not proceed.

This match was scheduled to begin at Central Broward Regional Park Stadium turf ground in Florida at 7:30 p.m. Pakistani time; however, the match could not begin because to the damp outfield.

After examining the outfield three times, the field umpires declared the game to be cancelled. The United States and Ireland were awarded a point apiece.

There is a possibility that a five-over match will be played after two hours, per an ESPNcricinfo report.
However, since the outcome of this game would determine Pakistan's advancement to the Super Eight round, the Pakistani team is also keeping a watch on the weather in Florida.

Recall that this is the first time that the United States and Ireland are competing against one another.
The USA participated in three games earlier; they won two and lost one.

USA, with four points, is ranked second in Group A.
Even though Ireland has lost both of its games, they are in last place with zero points in the Group A points table.
