Dusseldorf: Forward and team leader Kylian Mbappe's broken nose cost France dearly in their opening Euro Cup 2024 match.
During a match in Dusseldorf, Germany, versus Austria, Kylian Mbappe, 25, attempted a headshot when his face struck an opponent's shoulder.
After injuring his nose, Kylian Mbappe began to bleed.
According to a federation spokesman, he will receive treatment in the next few days even though surgery is not now necessary.
Though it's unclear if Mbappe will play in Friday's encounter against the Netherlands, the FFF is thinking of creating a customized mask to protect his nose.
France's key player, Kylian Mbappe, has scored 47 goals in 80 games for the national team, making him the cornerstone of the squad's hopes for the 2024 Euro Cup.
Mbappe headed Max Wuber's cross into the goal, contributing to the game's lone goal against Austria.
