Bangladesh defeated Nepal by 21 runs in the 37th game of the ICCT20 World Cup to advance to the Super 8 round.


Nepal's entire team was bowled out for 85 runs in 19.2 overs while chasing a score of 107 runs.
Asif Sheikh scored 17, Kaushal Malla scored 27, Deepandra Singh scored 25, and Kaushal scored 4 runs for Nepal. Five Nepali players were dismissed for zero.

Shakibul Hasan removed two players, Mustafizur Rehman claimed three, and Sargan Hasan claimed four wickets for Bangladesh.

Prior to this, Nepal had won the toss and chosen to field first. The bowlers from Nepal turned out to be a nightmare for Bangladesh, as they bowled out the whole squad for 106 runs in the 19.3 overs that were allowed.

On the first delivery of the game, Nepali bowler Sompal Kami caught Bangladeshi opener Tanzid Hasan. Latindas scored 10 runs, while Najamul Hasan scored 4.


Tasin Ahmed scored 12 runs without being out, while Rashad Hussain scored 13 runs and Tawheed scored 9. Mahmudullah scored 13 runs and Zakir Ali scored 12.


Sandeep Limchane, Dipendra Singh, Rohit Paudal, and Sompal Kami of Nepal each claimed two wickets.

This is the last group match for both teams, Bangladesh need to win this match to qualify for Super 8.
