Imamul Haq and Ahmed Shahzad, the opening batsman for the national team, engaged in an argument regarding Babar Azam's captaincy on local television. Imam was seen supporting Babar while Ahmed Shahzad took him down.
While Imam stated, "I am counted among Babar's friends but I am out of the T20 team," Ahmed Shehzad claimed that Babar Azam is feeding his teammates who aren't playing well.
Imam questioned the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) over this, stating that although he did not request leadership responsibilities from the board, the PCB has the power to award and revoke captaincy.
Ahmed Shahzad has come under heavy fire for allegedly berating Babar Azam's acquaintances.
