While giving an interview to the Times of India, the secretary of the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) predicted his top four teams for the T20 World Cup 2024 scheduled in America and West Indies, but did not include Pakistan in the top four.
He said that besides India, Australia, New Zealand, the host West Indies will probably be among the teams playing in the semi-finals because they have been performing well in the short format.
The tournament will start from June 1 in USA and West Indies, the top 2 teams of Group A Pakistan and India will face each other on June 9 in Newark.
On the other hand, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the schedule of warm-up matches before the T20 World Cup, in which 17 teams will participate, while the teams of Pakistan, England and South Africa will not be part of these matches.
