The International Cricket Council (ICC) allotted the second semi-final to India before the start of the World Cup.
Keeping in mind the Indian time zone, ICC has also changed the timing of the match so that more people can watch the live match, the match will start at 10 am local time which will be 8 pm according to Indian time. .
The first semi-final, to be played in Trinidad, will begin at 8:30 am local time, which will be watched in India at 6 am on June 27.
In Group A, India will compete against arch-rivals Pakistan, hosts USA, Canada and Ireland.
The final of the World Cup 2024 will be a one-dayer that will start on June 29 at 10 am locally which will be 7:30 pm in India. It has also been confirmed that there will be no reserve day for the second semi-final but if there is a delay for any reason, 250 minutes of extra time will be allowed for the match. However, there will be reserve days in the first semi-final and final.
Remember that the decisive result of the knockout match for the World Cup can be achieved only if both the teams bat for at least 10 overs without this reserve day for the first semi-final and the final. Just like in the past in other T20 matches the team batting second has to bat for 5 overs to decide the result in case of a deadlock and the same rule will be applicable for this World Cup as well.
According to ICC the rule of 10 overs is for 3 knockout matches.
