According to leading cricket website Cricinfo, security has been increased in New York ahead of the June 9 match between arch rivals Pakistan and India.

According to a statement published by the governor's office of the US state of New York, they are closely monitoring the situation and that civilians are not currently in danger. 

Eisenhower Park Stadium, located around 25 miles east of Manhattan, will host eight games from June 3 to June 12.

Governor Kathy Hochul stated that, while senior authorities are collaborating with law enforcement and comprehensive screening has been expedited, public safety is my first priority, and we are dedicated to ensuring that the Cricket World Cup takes place. Have a safe and fun time.
