Big shock to Bangladesh before the T20 World Cup, a disappointing series defeat against USA

Before the ICCT20 World Cup, in the second match of the ongoing three-match T20 series between USA and Bangladesh, USA defeated Bangladesh by 6 runs to take a decisive lead of 0-2 in the series.

In response to the target of 145 runs given by the USA in the match played at the Prairie View Stadium in Texas, the entire team of Bangladesh was bowled out for 138 runs in 19.3 overs.

On behalf of Bangladesh, captain Najamul Hassan Shanto scored 36 runs, Shakib ul Hasan scored 30 runs and Tawheed Haridoy scored 25 runs.

On behalf of Murika, Ali Khan took three wickets, Saurabh Netrawalkar and Shedley van Schaalwijk took two wickets each.

Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bowl first after which USA scored 144 runs for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Captain Monnik Patel scored 42, Aaron Jones scored 35 and Stephen Taylor scored 31 runs on behalf of USA.

Shoriful Islam, Mustafizur Rahman and Rashad Hussain took two wickets each for Bangladesh.

Fast bowler Muhammad Ali was awarded the player of the match award for his excellent bowling in the match.

Earlier, USA defeated Bangladesh by 5 wickets in the first match of the series played on May 21.

It should be noted that the third and final match of the series between the two teams will be played on May 25.
