Announcement of installation of flood lights in Quetta Stadium, will PSL 10 matches be able to be held?

Pakistan Cricket Board has announced to install flood lights in Quetta's Bugti Stadium in 3 months.



Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has announced to install floodlights in Bugti Stadium Quetta in the next three months. Azam Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar was also present, he also inspected the ground and gave instructions to improve the condition of the stadium.

Mohsin Naqvi said that the facilities in Bugti Stadium will be improved in the shortest time, cricket tournaments will be organized for the people of Balochistan and Quetta.

Due to lack of interest of spectators in the league matches in this year's Pakistan Super League in Karachi, the National Stadium has been able to host only 5 matches of PSL 2025 next year.

According to the sources, the home ground of Quetta Gladiators used to be Karachi but now its home matches will be held in Lahore. Next year also Arbab Niaz Stadium Peshawar and Bugti Stadium Quetta will not be able to host any match of PSL because both the grounds. Apart from security, they have not been able to prepare completely, but there is a proposal to hold warm-up matches in Peshawar and Quetta.

It has been learned from reliable sources that the opening ceremony of PSL will be held at Pindi Stadium, while four matches, including the playoffs and the final, have been proposed to be held abroad.

There will be 10 and 10 PSL matches in Gaddafi Stadium Lahore and Pindi Stadium, 5 and 5 in Karachi and Multan while the last four matches are proposed to be held in England at Oval London, Old Trafford Manchester and Edgbaston Birmingham.

Sources say that the spectators of Karachi have seen very few matches in stadiums in Karachi this year, so Karachi Kings will play five matches in National Stadium, Quetta and Lahore Qalandars' home ground Gaddafi Stadium, Peshawar Zalmi and defending champion Islamabad. United's matches will be played at Pindi Stadium while Multan Sultans' home ground will be Multan Stadium.


Sources say that the Peshawar and Quetta grounds have not been given security clearance, while the construction work is still to be done here. In the past few days, many issues of the next tournament were finalized in the governing council of the Pakistan Super League in Lahore, the franchise owners. Taking into confidence, PCB decided to hold PSL in four centers and the decision to hold playoffs including the final abroad was well received.
